Renewed villa Srbija, with about 140 beds for the most difficult, immobile patients who need constant care, was ceremoniously opened in Special hospital Ribarska Banja on Saturday (February 20, 2010).

By reconstructing Srbija, which cost 25m RSD, Ribarska Banja completed the process of renewal of its accommodation capacities with about 500 beds.

The Director of the special hospital, Branislav Katančević, said that 100,000 hospital days had been realized in Ribarska Banja in 2009 in association with the Health Insurance Institute. He added that the contract for year 2010 could be more than 20% bigger.

- We expect to sign about 300m RSD worth of contract with the Health Insurance Institute this year - said Katančević and added that 250 beds in villas Srbija and Bosna were intended for the users of the Institute's services.

Ribarska Banja invested about 2m EUR in reconstruction and construction of auxiliary facilities and employed about 50 people in 2009. This year, in addition to reconstruction of an old Turkish bath, construction of wellness and spa center will be completed, which will cost about 5m EUR.
