Real Estate Folios Soon to be Issued by Notaries, not RGA

Real estate folios will no longer be issued by the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGA), but public notaries, according to the draft decree which is to be considered at the first next session of the government.

Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic has had a meeting with the director of the RGA, Borko Draskovic, and the management of the Chamber of Public Notaries, led by Srbislav Cvejic, about the issuing of real estate folios to citizens.

An agreement was made at the meeting regarding the contents of the decree, which is to be considered at the first next session of the government. If the decree is adopted, citizens will no longer have to visit the RGA to get their folios. Instead, public notaries will be in charge of the whole process.

A more efficient procedure of the registration of property, a reform of the land register and Serbia's progress on the Doing Business list were also discussed at the meeting.
