To the end of securing conditions for a continuous delivery of goods during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hungary has lifted the ban on movement of heavy freight vehicles from March 12, 2020, having assessed that the measure is no longer justified. The general ban on the movement of freight vehicles will be reinstated on June 27.

That means that this weekend is the last one without the ban. Starting with the next one, the last weekend in June, the ban begins at 10 pm on Saturday, June 27, and lasts until 10 pm on June 28.

From July 1 to August 31, different rules apply: the ban is in effect from Saturday, 3 am, to Sunday 10 pm, and from 10 pm ahead of the state holiday to 10 pm on the day of the holiday, as announced by Kancelarija Ivanovic, citing the Ministry for Innovations and Technology of Hungary.
