Jat Airways announced public invitation for catering services
Air transportation company Jat Airways announced today (February 3, 2010) the public invitation for submission of bids for catering services on all flights of that airliner at Airport Nikola Tesla.
According to the ad that was published in daily newspaper Politika, the bidders can submit their offers within 30 days from the day the ad is published in the Official Bulletin, while the bids will be opened on the last day of that period.
The criteria for selection will be the price, the aesthetic characteristics of meals and the reference list. The decision will be announced 30 days after the bids are opened.
Prior to January 14th, company Jat Catering had been delivering meals to Jat Airways, but their cooperation was discontinued because of the airliner's debts of 41m RSD.
After that, Aerodrom Ketering Beograd (Airport Catering Belgrade) was supplying Jat Airways with meals.
After discontinuing delivery of meals to Jat Airways, Jat Catering announced that Jat Airways violated the international norms and regulations governing the safety of passengers on all flights.
The Civil Aviation Directorate of Serbia, which carried out the control in Jat Airways after that, determined that Aerodrom Ketering Beograd met all stipulated safety standards in air transportation.
The owner of Jat Catering is the Government of Serbia. That company was separated from Jat Airways in 2005.
