Italians invest in bio-diesel production - representatives of Goricia region visited Alibunar
The representatives of Italian region of Goricia, which maintains good cross-border cooperation with the municipality of Alibunar, is interested in investing in this municipality in south Banat, which, due to the vicinity of nature reserve Deliblatska Pescara (Deliblato Sands), has big economic and tourist potential.
Italians are, primarily, interested in production of oilseed rape, which would be mainly used for production of bio-diesel fuel.
- This terrain is suitable for growing of oilseed rape, which also creates possibility for construction of a refinery that would be purchasing oilseed rape and sunflower from farmers and using them for production of bio-diesel fuel - said Gianfranco Kolauti, the CEO of building company Ici Coop, who came to Alibunar with Giancarlo Sarato, the Mayor of Taraviscosa, a town in the region of Goricia.
Danijel Kišmarton, the Mayor of Alibunar, pointed out that that project, as well as construction of regional landfills and infrastructure facilities, require voluminous preparations and much money, so that their realization will be further discussed in the future.
The Mayor of Alibunar also presented interesting opportunities for investments in tourist facilities and hunting tourism in Deliblato Sands, which attracts hunters from all around Europe.
