Difficulties Related to Nord Stream 2 Could Raise the Price of Gas

The Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline will be finished, but the difficulties related to its construction could lead to an increase in the price of gas for the EU, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

– I believe that the project cannot be stopped. I am convinced that it will be implemented. Germany and other European countries whose companies are involved in its construction are interested in it. Finally, the whole Europe is interested, as it will strengthen the energy security of Europe – Lavrov said after a meeting of the Council of the Baltic Sea States, TASS reports.

As he pointed out, the experts' opinion is that all the options to solve the legal conflict would lead to an increase in the price of gas for the end-users and citizens of the EU.
