Cooperation between Olomouc region and Vojvodina - Czech Republic helps provincial projects
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czech Republic has granted about 40,000 EUR for financing of the "Construction of Social Care Capacities of Regional and Local Administration and Non-government Organizations from AP Vojvodina" project - it is stated on the website of the Executive Council of Vojvodina.
The project will be implemented during this year, as a result of the successful cooperation between the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the region of Olomouc (Czech Republic), all that on the basis of the agreement on cooperation that was signed in 2003. Within the framework of the cooperation between Vojvodina and Olomouc in 2010, Vojvodina will present its rich cultural heritage in Czech Republic.
The relations between the two regions are at high level, and the Provincial Secretariat for Regional and International Cooperation sees Czech Republic as a good example of regionalization, of which regional self-governments function very well, although the regions did not even exist in 2000. On the occasion of his visit to Belgrade, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Czech Republic, Jan Kohout, said that that country would keep strongly supporting European integration of Serbia and that the relations between Serbia and EU were heading in good direction.
