– Around 30% of the waste will come from raspberries and blackberries, and the rest will come from forest materials from Srbija Sume. The savings will be great, as we used mazut, coal and fuel oil until now. Of all the renewable sources of energy in Serbia, biomass has the greatest potential, and with the biomass capacities, I am sure that in the years ahead of us we will increase the share of energy from renewable sources – added the president of the municipality of Arilje, GZS reports.
The project of the replacement of furnaces and the construction of small biomass heating plants, which are meant for the heating of public facilities, was carried out by the Office for Management of Public Investments in towns and municipalities throughout Serbia.
The public procurement is worth RSD 177.5 million, and the contract was signed in April.
The joint bid of companies IsoPlus, Adriacore, Oden, TVI, Global 100Solutions and Termo Univerzal from Belgrade, GasTeh from Indjija and Giles Energie-und Umwelttechnik GmbH & Co KG Gmuden from Austria, was selected.
According to the documentation, public facilities in Arilje, on a part of the parcel of the Health Center Uzice-Arilje, should be supplied with heat from the complex of a new woodchip-powered furnace, with a woodchip storage facility and traffic areas.
