Whole Balkan under Triglav - Slovenian insurance company completed acquisition in Montenegro and ready to enter Albania
The biggest insurance group in the region - Slovenian Triglav, has become the owner of about 92% of capital of Montenegrin Lovćen Osiguranje and signed the letter of intent for strategic merger with Albanian insurance company Albsig. In that way, this group resumed realization of its announced strategy for expansion and strengthening of the position of the leader in insurance market within and outside the borders of former Yugoslavia.
By making this move, "Triglav" confirms that the insurance business has always been profitable business, even at the time of the crisis. During the last year, this group collected about 1 billion EUR in all eight countries where it operated - Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia, Czech Republic and Slovakia, 85% of which was registered in the market of Slovenia.
