A three-member team from Grosuplje, Slovenia, has developed a UV device for disinfection of banknotes.

They claim that it is the only such device in the world that can disinfect up to a hundred banknotes per minute.

– Our lives are slowly getting back to normal, but we will have to be more careful after this pandemic – says team member Zan Brezec, as reported by B92.

He said that the development of the device had been made more difficult by the fact that everything had been done in the quarantine measures.

As STA reports, several Slovenian banks are already interested in the device and one of them will start testing it in the upcoming days, and the team points out that only three similar devices can be found in the world market currently.
