As many as 90% of IT companies in Serbia have not laid off any workers due to the pandemic, as shown by the results of a survey of the impact of coronavirus on the labor market.

In the first week of April, the survey was conducted by websites HelloWorld.rs and Poslovi Infostud, with 73 IT companies operating in the local market as the subjects.

Of the survey companies, 90% have not yet laid off any workers due to the crisis, and 71% will not pause the development of new products and services.

Two fifth say that the current crisis is putting their business at risk in the short term, but 44% believe that COVID-19 does not pose a danger to their business.

In each fourth company, only those who apply for the so-called critical job positions can get employed, whereas 22% are opening new job positions as usual.

It's interesting to note that 4% of the surveyed IT companies are employing more than before.
