Banat Wind Farm Complex in Alibunar a Step Closer to Construction – Base for Installation of Power Line in Vladimirovac in Preparation

The Municipality of Alibunar has put the material for the preparation of the detailed regulation plan of the power lines for the Banat wind farm complex in this municipality up for an early public review, which is the first condition for the beginning of the construction of this complex.

The area within the plan is located in KO Vladimirovac, on 1,069 hectares.

According to the documentation, the plan is to build 400 kV power lines, a 400 kV connecting power line and a concentration connection-distribution facility of 400 kV (TS 400/110 kV), though which the electrical energy produced at the Banat wind farm complex, as energy produced from a renewable energy source, will be transferred to the public power distribution system of the Republic of Serbia.

The plan was commissioned by Vetroelektrana Banat doo Alibunar, a company which the investor, the Belgian-Dutch company WindVision, founded for the purpose of raising wind farms in Banat.

The Banat wind farm complex will include Banat 1 in KO Vladimirovac and Banat 2 in KO Nikolinci.

According to the detailed regulation plans for the construction of those two wind farms, 44 turbines will be built in Vladimirovac, of the total power of around 186 MW, whereas in Nikolinci, there will be 25, of the total power of around 140 MW.

The agreement on the installation of energy cables for the needs of the construction of the new wind farm Banat 1 in Alibunar was signed in mid-December by representatives of the local self-government and the investor.

As the president of the municipality of Alibunar, Dusan Dakic, said at the time, the installation of cables for the turbines is one of the requirements for the construction of the wind farm to begin, and this umbrella agreement will lead to all the other agreements on its construction, which is expected for 2021.
