"Krušik" exported 36m USD worth of goods in 2009
Valjevo-based "Krušik" exported 36m USD worth of arms and ammonition in 2009.
The Director General of that company, Jovan Davidović, said that that represented 90% of the plan. Davidović said that "Krušik" planned to export 2.84 billion RSD worth of products in 2010, and that that was possible because 8 new export contracts had been signed, while another 18 export deals were in the final phase.
He said that between 1,500 and 1,600 workers had been engaged in military products in 2009, which was 6% more than in 2008. The average salary amounted to 29,360 RSD.
Davidović announced that "Krušik Namenska" and public company "Jugomiport SDPR" from Belgrade would have the forge built in 2010. He explained that "Krušik" would provide the land, while "Jugomiport SDPR" would provide the money. The forge will be finished prior to October, and between 60 and 70 workers will be employed in it.
The old forge of "Krušik" was torn down during NATO bombing in spring 1999. Construction of new forge will significantly reduce production costs because certain semi-finished products will not have to be imported from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bulgaria any more.
