New chargers for electric cars on highways – PE Roads of Serbia seeking contractor

New chargers for electric vehicles will be installed on highways in Serbia, two in the former location of the Nis toll booth and one at the Belgrade toll booth.

The PE Roads of Serbia has opened a public procurement procedure for the design, delivery, installation and commissioning of fast chargers for electric cars on highways, and the estimated value of the public procurement is up to RSD 50 million without VAT.

– The charger model 175 kW DC is a fast charger for electric cars, which consist of a modular part and a charging part. The modular part supplies energy to a charger column at a minimum of 160 kW DC continually and with an electricity of 375 A. The maximum output DC power of the device should be 175 kW. The flexible design should enable several types of connections, such as CCS, CHAdeMO – the documentation reads.

The devices are meant for by-road charging, which is suitable for toll booths, highway rests and gas stations.

Bids may be submitted by April 13, 2020.

Let us remind that the Roads of Serbia recently announced the installation of 10 fast chargers along the highways subject to toll collection in Serbia.

Also, the Government of Serbia has adopted the Decree on the conditions and the manner of carrying out subsidized purchase of new electric and hybrid vehicles.
