Mayor of Moscow bought lot in Montenegro, on the Luštica peninsula
Montenegrin-Russian company "Lustreca", property of Mayor of Moscow, Jurij Luškov, and his spouse, bought over 30,000 square meters of land on the Luštica peninsula, at Montenegrin seaside, above beach Žanjica in Herceg Novi, Podgorica’s Vijesti anounces.
The newspaper cites that the Mayor of Moscow bought this attractive location in September from several townsmen and paid about €4m for it, as well as that he announced procurement of new lots. Luškov plans to have several attractive tourist facilities built on the location he bought. The land at the Montenegrin seaside was also bought by famous Russian businessmen, such as owners of "Rusal" - Oleg Deripaska and Nikolaj Zemljanskij.
Vijesti reminds that Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Đukanović and Luškov signed agreement on cooperation between Montenegro and Moscow, which implies establishment of cooperation in field of tourism. This daily newspaper cites that the Mayor of Moscow is famous by his statement that he supports the efforts of Montenegro for independency, which he made on the occasion of his last-year visit to Podgorica.
