"Hemofarm" opened reconstructed unit for production of saline - investment worth 9m EUR
Pharmaceutical company "Hemofarm" opened the reconstructed unit for production of saline in Vršac on Friday (December 18, 2009), in which 9m EUR was invested.
The President of the Administrative Board of "Hemofarm", Miodrag Babić, said that the newly opened unit would make "Hemofarm" one of the top five manufacturers in Europe since the production capacity would be 2.5 times larger and it would reach about 65m bottles per year.
He also pointed out that "Hemofarm" had invested 24m EUR in 2009 in expansion and technological improvement of production.
According to his words, "Hemofarm" registered growth of 8% in 2009, while the export, which represents 55% of production, grew by 25%.
Babić invited the Government of Serbia to back Serbia's export through measures and stimuli.
German "Stada Group" took over "Hemofarm" in 2006.
