Budget of Serbia for year 2010
The budget of Serbia for year 2010 anticipates issuing of guarantees by the state to international finance institutions, foreign governments and business banks for the loans in amount of 210 billion RSD, that is, the guarantees for 703m USD and 1.7 billion EUR worth of loans.
The plan includes issuing of the guarantee to the World Bank for the loan of 100m USD that will be used by public company "Putevi Srbije" for refurbishment of roads in Serbia and traffic safety improvement.
The Government of Serbia also counts on the loan by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in amount of 310m EUR, which is intended for "Serbian Railways" (100m), local self-governments (10m), "Putevi Srbije" (10m), "Electric Power Company of Serbia" (40m) and "Srbijagas" (150m).
The state will also issue the guarantee in 2010 for European Investment Bank's loan of 283m EUR, which will be used by "Serbian Railways" (150m), EPS (40m), "Putevi Srbije" (73m) and "Transnafta" (20m).
The loan by German Development Bank (KfW) in amount of 135m EUR will be used by local self-government (40m), EPS and "Elektromreža" (70m) and "Srbijagas" (25m).
The guarantees are also planned to be issued for the loans of the governments of Spain (37m EUR) and Germany (45m EUR) for "Serbian Railways".
Canadian Government should grant the loan of 135m EUR to Mining-Smelter Basin (RTB) "Bor", while Japanese Government should approve 200m EUR worth of loan to EPS and the loan of 50m EUR to "Transnafta".
"Serbian Railways" also counts on the government's guarantees for the loan by Czech Export Bank in amount of 120m EUR and the loan by the Government of Russian Federation in amount of 600m USD.
According to the budget for the next year, the guarantees for the loans of about 29 billion RSD for local self-governments, "Srbijagas" and "Jat" should be issued to business banks.
The state also plans to issue the guarantee for the loan of 100m EUR for procurement of new equipment for Kragujevac-based factory "Fiat automobili".
