Adaptation of mountain lodge on Besna Kobila mountain completed - first guests in 2010

- Public company "Skijalište Besna kobila" (Ski Center Besna Kobila) has finished adaptation of the mountain lodge and expects the first guests to arrive in early 2010 - said Dejan Manić, the Manager of that ski center.

He told "Beta" agency that the access road across Kriva Feja to the mountain lodge, 1.6 km long, and the substation that was going to supply power to the mountain lodge and ski lifts had been finished in one year. The works commenced shortly after the city of Vranje founded the Ski Center.

- We will start the season with a mini ski lift that will be big enough to satisfy local needs because, although "Skijališta Srbije" has donated ski lift "Duboka 2", which was in use on Kopaonik mountain, there was no money for its overhaul in 2009 - said Manić.

As he pointed out, once the ski center is fully in function, total of 15 ski lifts will be in operation on Besna Kobila. Procurement and installation of ski lifts will be done by Bor-based company "Sam ing".

He added that he expected construction of suites and hotels on Besna Kobila by private sector to start already in spring 2010, which would enrich the offer of the only ski center in south Serbia.
