The City Administration of Bor has opened a public procurement procedure for the reconstruction and adaptation of the Savaca children's resort.

According to the contest documentation, the project entails water and sanitary installations, as well as the application of a protective coating. Plaster panels, an entrance door and floor and wall coverings will also be put up as part of the adaptation.

Bids may be submitted by February 24, 2020.

Let us remind that the mayor of Bor, Aleksandar Milikic, announced earlier that, under the project, rooms with ten beds should be turned into rooms with two beds with bathrooms, the sanitary blocks, the roof an the interior need to be repaired, the joinery needs to be replaced and the facility needs to be adapted to preschool- and school-age children from Bor and other parts of Serbia.

The current capacity is 230 beds, and it should be reduced to 170 through the reconstruction.

– The capacity is to be reduced, but the quality of the services is to be raised, which is in fact what's important. Modern standards are different, rooms have to have bathrooms, two to three beds and that's what we're aiming for – Milikic said at the time.
