"Fresenius Medical Care" - first investor in Technology Park Vršac - construction of modern dialyser factory worth 20m EUR

Company "Fresenius Medical Care" signed the pre-contract yesterday (December 8, 2009) on purchase of 2.7 ha of land and, thus, became the first investor in Technology Park Vršac, in the infrastructure of which about 4m EUR were invested by the European Mission to Serbia and the municipality of Vršac.

The price of 1 square meter is 6 EUR, which was also the price that was paid to former owners of cultivated fields in that locations.

- The speed at which Technology Park Vršac was organized was astonishing, and you should serve as a good example for other municipalities. This event is in the group of good news that are characteristic for Serbia in the last few days - said William Louise, the carrier of the technology park projects in Serbia on behalf of European Union.

Company "Fresenius" will have a modern factory built within the next 36 months. According to the words of Predrag Vranić, the Manager of "Fresenius" for the territory of Serbia, about 150 workers in that factory will be producing cutting-edge capillary dialyzers. Construction and opening of the new factory will quintuple the production.

The investment is worth about 20m EUR. In addition to dialyzers, the factory will be also producing artery-vein systems, as well as infusion solutions.
