Total of 15 companies expressed interest in tender for TE-TO "Novi Sad"
- The interest in participation in the international tender for selection of strategic partner for the investment in modernization and expansion of Steam Power Plant - Heating Plant Novi Sad (TE-TO) has been expressed by 15 companies - the Electric Power Company of Serbia announced today (December 7, 2009).
Energy companies from Slovakia, Italy, Russia, Greece, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Britain, Austria, China, Canada and Serbia submitted the letters of interest before the deadline that expired on December 1st.
Modernization and expansion of TE-TO will ensure stable supply of heating energy to Novi Sad and contribute to growth of electricity production, as well as improvement of environment protection because the use of gas instead of crude oil will reduce the emmission of harmful matters.
The plan is that the procedure for selection of strategic partner be finished in the first half of the next year. That procedure is run by "Energija Novi Sad" (ENS), the company that was founded by City of Novi Sad and public company "Electric Power Company of Serbia" as equal partners.
- The next step will be made in the second half of January 2010 when the companies that meet the requests from the tender documentation will be invited to purchase the tender documentation - Zoran Manasijević, the President of the Administrative Board of ENS, announced.
