Romanian "Tarom" flew from Bucharest to Belgrade
Romanian air transportation company "Tarom" established the regular line between Bucharest and Belgrade today (December 7, 2009), and its first flight was four hours late.
The airplane of "Tarom", which was supposed to arrive at 9.50 AM, landed at Airport "Nikola Tesla" at 1.50 PM, but people in the Belgrade Airport were unable to specify the reason for that delay.
Romanian national airliner will be flying from Bucharest to Belgrade three times a week - on Monday, Wednesday and Friday - and the price of the return ticket with all taxes is 92 EUR.
The turbopropeller airplane of the new generation - ATR 42-500 with 48 seats - will be flying between the capital cities of Romania and Serbia, and the flight should last for 1 hour and 40 minutes.
"Tarom" was founded in 1954. It has the fleet of 26 airplanes that will be flying to 49 destinations in Europe, North Africa and the Near East during this winter season.
"Tarom" (www.tarom.ro) is going to become a member of "Sky Team Alliance", led by "Air France", in 2010.
