Intesa Banca - best bank in Serbia in opinion of magazine "The Banker"

- British financial magazine "The Banker" has declared Banca Intesa as the bank of the year in Serbia - people from that bank announced.

According to the announcement, that award was received by the President of the Executive Board of Banca Intesa in Serbia, Draginja Đurić, at the ceremony in London. She pointed out on that occasion that that bank had registered good performance even at the time of the economic crisis.

Banka Intesa ranks first in Serbian market in amount of gross balance assets - 3.4 billion EUR, total loans granted to the economy and population - 2 billion EUR, and the deposits of 1.8 billion EUR.

Total investments in the economy amounts to 1.5 billion EUR, and they were increased by 112m EUR during the first nine months of year 2009, while the loans granted to the citizens grew by 5% in the same period and reached the amount of 544m EUR.

The criteria that magazine "The Banker" takes in consideration in selection of the most successful bank include quantitative criteria such as growth of balance assets or profitability, as well as the level of development of modern technologies, infrastructure and business strategy.
