Simpler customs clearing for larger export - Customs Administration and "Ball Packaging Europe" signed partnership agreement

By adapting the laws and concrete procedures, the state and the Customs Administration, as its executive customs organ, made it possible for the company that was the best exporter in Serbia in 2008 to operate in our country the same as in any other country of the world - it is stated in the announcement
- We will lower the level of control of goods and transportation means for those companies that meet stipulated standards, so that we will be able to use our resources in even more efficient way when needed. With this agreement we resume implementation of reforms in order to help our economy alleviate the effects of the economic crisis - said Predrag Petronijević, the CEO of the Customs Administration, and added that "simplified customs procedure, which is brought in accord with the standards of European Union, creates favorable ambient for simpler and efficient operations".
- Our factory in Zemun annually produces about 750m aluminum cans, over 85% of which are exported to the markets in the region. Application of this agreement and simplifed customs procedure is important to us not only because of the number of over 5,000 truck shipments in cross-border turnover per year, but also because of the fact that one of the key indications of the quality of our service is the accuracy of delivery of products that is measured in hours and minutes regardless of the destination - said David Banjai, the CEO of Belgrade-based factory "Ball packaging".
With this agreement, which will be signed with other companies in the following period, the Customs Administration wants to resume development of partner relations between the state and business community, as well as to contribute to improvement of competitiveness and our economy in the international market. The priority will be given to the companies whose volume of operations is of significance to the national economy, such as "Ball packaging", which was granted the Exporter of the Year award last year by the Investment and Export Promotion Agency of Serbia (SIEPA).
