Rastoder, who was born in Berane, Montenegro, and who is known as “banana king” thanks to his large business in this area, took over the remains of the former Slovenian national airline through his new company Air Adriatic, and the Slovenian government will consider a joint investment in this new airline company, the daily writes.
Rastoder has already discussed this with Nena Dokuzov of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of Slovenia, whereas Minister Zdravko Pocivalsek is considering a potential involvement of the state in the arrangement with Rastoder, but under the condition that the name “Slovenia” be part of the airline company's name, the Investitor portal reports.
Over the next month, Rastoder is obliged to pay EUR 45,000 for Adria's property, which mostly consists of flight permits, including the valuable air operator's certificate (AOC), in order to obtain the rights provided by the licenses.
It is added that Rastoder will be able to benefit from all the advantages of Adria's membership in various organizations and rent the remaining infrastructure, such as the name, the building and the equipment of the former Slovenian airline company.
