Kragujevac-based "Promotor-irva" to start production for "punto" in February
Company "Promotor-irva" from Kragujevac announced today (November 30, 2009) that it would start assembly-line production of handy jacks "pantograph" for the needs of company "Fiat automobili Srbija" in February 2010.
Company "Promotor irva" is one of the two companies that "Fiat automobili Srbija" has chosen to be the first suppliers from Serbia, and the contract was signed at the beginning of November in the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Serbia.
The owner of company "Promotor-irva", Slobodan Radović, told "Beta" that handy jacks would be produced for "punto classic" and that the annual value of the contract amounted to 15,000 EUR.
- The contract with company "Fiat automobili Srbija" is significant for our company because it is the first step and the opportunity for us to show our skills, so we could become a global supplier of jacks for Italian "Fiat" in the future - said he.
Radović said that the preparations for production of jacks for "punto classic" were in progress in the company, and he added that the trial production would start in mid-January 2010.
As he explained, "Promotor irva" will invest its own funds in organization of production for the needs of company "Fiat automobila Srbija".
According to the words of Radović, Italian company "Fiat" is the third large automobile manufacturer that "Promotor irva" works for.
Since 2002, as he pointed out, the Kragujevac-based factory has delivered 1m handy jacks for "Peugeot-Citroen PSA" group, and the company also started cooperation with "General Motors" in October 2009, for which it produces jacks for "opel corsa".
Kragujevac-based company "Promotor-irva" has 46 employees, and it has, so far, used the funds from the Development Fund of Serbia only once, on the occasion of its founding in 2001.
"Promotor-irva" annually produces between 350,000 and 400,000 handy jacks.
