Frenchman Bernard Arnault is world's richest man

At present, the richest person in the world is the Frenchman Bernard Arnault, according to the rankings on the Forbes' list of world billionaires, BiznisInfo portal writes.

According to Forbes' Real Time Billionaire rankings, Arnault's fortune is estimated at USD 116.5 billion.

He reached the top of the list after his Luxury goods group LVMH company shares had risen by 0.7 % on Friday,

His personal wealth had thus increased by USD 1.9 billion. Based on the Forbes' report he now has one billion more than the Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos.

Arnault and his family own 47% of LMVH shares. The company covers such brands as Louis Vuitton, Dior and Moët & Chandon.
