The Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic, has signed agreements with representatives of Krusevac and Uzice on transferring the ownership over the Rosulje and Ponikve airports to the Republic of Serbia.

According to her, the state has continued its practice of upgrading other airports, in addition to investing in the Nikola Tesla Airport, as it had turned out that it was much better to be able to get sufficient funds for investments in small airports within a single company.

As she said, the state will thereby enable local self-governments to have developed small airports, in addition to developed roads and railways, as it has turned out that airports are needed in every part of Serbia.

She emphasized that Rosulje in Krusevac was certainly looking at the freeing of the industrial zone and that the funds for the moving had already been earmarked within the budget of the Airports of Serbia.

When it comes to the Ponikve Airport near Uzice, Mihajlovic explained that at least EUR 10 million and, according to the estimates, up to EUR 20 million would be invested in it in several phases, given the port's considerable contribution to the development of tourism.
