New "tenants" in industrial zone "Šepak" in Loznica - reconstruction of main route to Valjevo in progress
"Radaljac company" and "Ingrad" are new members of industrial zone "Šepak" in Loznica. In that way, 1 out of total of 32 ha in that zone owned by City of Loznica has been sold.
- So far, about 100m RSD have been invested in the infrastructure equipping of zone "Šepak". Italian company "Golden lady" is present in that zone from long time ago and, because of its positive business experience, many companies from Italy are currently interested in investments in our city - Ljiljana Nikolić, the Manager of the Department for Local Economic Development, told "eKapija".
Concerning the fact that extremely popular tourist destinations Banja Koviljača and Tršić are situated in the vicinity of the zone and that Loznica takes care of the inflow of money from tourism to the budget, Ms. Nikolić says that the arrival of investors from the food, textile and other branches of light industry is expected, thanks to the work of which the risk from pollution of environment is reduced.
The zone comprises 32 parcels, it has complete infrastructure, including gas pipeline, and it can be expanded to additional 82 ha.

The works on construction of Republike Srpske Street are underway. Once it is completed, it will serve as the access road to the zone and its connection with Bosnian border.
At the same time, the main route from Loznica to Valjevo, 3.5 km long, is being reconstructed. About 2m EUR will be invested in that project, and it will be implemented with the support of the Ministry of National Investment Plan, thanks to the non-refundable means of the European Investment Bank and the City Budget in amount of 15% of the value of the project.
The city authorities hope that the reconstruction of Loznica-Valjevo main route will both improve the quality of life of citizens of Loznica and attract more investors, not only to industrial zone "Šepak", but also to the business-residential zone that is about 500 meters away from the city center and occupies the surface of 20 ha.
Total of 17 ha are still available because the city swimming pool worth 1m EUR, spiritual center with a church and a kindergarten have been built at 3 ha in that zone.

- That zone may be attractive to the investors from the domains of commercial activities, trade and sports-recreation centers. We hope that the building contractors that are now purchasing houses in the city center will move their businesses to this zone, major part of which is intended for residential development projects – the Head of the Office for Local Economic Development of Loznica added.
The City currently has about 11,500 unemployed citizens who represent an exceptional local manpower potential for investors.
