"Coca- cola" company offers 16 million EUR for procurement of mineral water factory "Vlasinka, but "Simpo" wants 20 million EUR.
Although "Danone", "Nestle", Croatian "Agrokor" and Slovenian "Laško" are being mentioned in public as potential buyers of "Vlasinka", they are all much behind "Coca-Cola" as far as negotiations are concerned.
Mineral Water Factory "Rosa" operates as part of "Simpo" holding, so that its sale is the issue to be talked about on the level of entire company. Minor stockholders in "Simpo" are owners of 59.5% of assets, whereas 40% of the stocks is owned by Share Fund and Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (PIO). The money from the sale of this factory will be invested in development of the company, which indirectly stimulates rise of value of shares of each of total of 8,700 stockholders of Vranje-based company.
The buyer of the factory would be obliged to invest in double expansion of present capacities of 150,000 bottles on daily basis.
"Rosa" covers certain percentage of the Serbian market, but it is very primising due to eco-zone in which oligomineral water spring is located. "Simpo" employs 7,000 worker and its holding counts 80 companies. Director of this successful company for four decades is Dragan Tomić, also known as vice president of the Government of Serbia from 1998 to 2000.
