Simplified customs control procedures in companies "Toza Marković" and "Messer Tehnogas" - agreements signed with Customs Administration

The Customs Administration of Republic of Serbia and companies "Toza Marković" from Kikinda and "Messer Tehnogas" from Belgrade have signed the Agreement on improvement of partner relations, quicker flow of goods and provision of adequate level of control. "With that Agreement the Customs Administration wants to enable more efficient and cheaper operations of the economy, as well as to continue development of partner relations between the state and business community", it is stated in the Administration's announcement.

The next Agreement on improvement of partner relations will be signed with company "Ball Packaging Europe" on Tuesday, November 10th.

- Simplified customs procedures, which are among the top priority of the Customs Administration in 2009, are meant to create the ambient in which those companies that operate in a responsible manner and in accordance with the Law will be able to do business even simpler and more efficiently - said Predrag Petronijević, the CEO of the Customs Administration, and added that "the regulations and procedures are adapted to the standards of European Union in this way", as well as that "the activities are part of the measures introduced by the government organs with the aim of alleviating the effects of the economic crisis through improvement of competitiveness of the local economy in their appearance in foreign markets."

Company "Toza Marković" exports building materials to 12 countries of EU and CEFTA.

- We maintain very good cooperation with the Customs Administration for years, and these simplified procedures will significantly accelerate the flow of goods in import-export businesses and, thus, enhance the quality of our operations with foreign partners - said Ivan Radulov, the Director General of the company.

Ernst Bode, the CEO of "Messer tehnogas", said that that company organized transportation of gas from the production locations to foreign countries in up to 180 trucks a week, as well as that it had 25 trucks for the import customs clearing.

- Due to specific characteristics of the product, our buyers find constant availability of gases the most important. Therefore, the application of this Agreement and efficient customs clearing are very important for us - said Bode.
