TurkStream filled with gas

Both legs of the TurkStream gas pipeline have been filled with gas, the Gazprom corporation announced.

– At the moment, both legs are filled with gas, from the facility in Anapa, to the terminal in Kiyikoy on the Turkish coast – the press release says.

The compressor station Russkaya is ready for the exploitation to start. At the same time, the works on the terminal in Turkey are being completed as well.

Gazprom added that the welding works on a part of the NordStream 2 gas pipeline in the Russian territory had been completed as well. The commissioning of the compressor station is being prepared.

Let us remind that the presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, talked on the phone on November 9 about the realization of TurkStream. On that occasion, it was confirmed that the gas pipeline would start working by the end of December.
