Japanese companies interested in investing in Serbian food industry and agriculture

During her three-day visit to Japan, on the occasion of the ceremony of the crowing of the Emperor of Japan, Naruhito, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

There are several important Japanese investors operating in Serbia, such as Japan Tobacco International (JTI), which has decided to expand its production, Toyo Tires, which has announced its arrival to Indjija, where the only European facility of this Japanese giant will be located, and Yazaki, which should employ 1,700 people.


– The Japanese prime minister introduced me to some other interested investors from the food industry and the agricultural sector – Brnabic pointed out and said that the economic relations of Serbia and Japan were better than before, the government says on its website.
