EPS and Spanish "Wattpic" signed Protocol on cooperation - application of solar technology in Serbia

Public company Electric Power Company of Serbia (EPS) and Spanish company for production of solar panels "Wattpic" signed the Protocol on cooperation on October 16th in Belgrade.

The Protocol was signed by the Director General of EPS, Dragomir Marković, and the Executive Director of Spanish company "Wattpic", Stephane Ressl.

The Director General of EPS said to the press that the Protocol on cooperation implied elaboration of the study for use of solar technology, application of European practice in that field, as well as the study on locations for installation of solar collectors.

According to his words, the process of installation of collectors may start in the second half of year 2010, as well as provision of "first five megawatts of solar energy".

Marković said that the Protocol on cooperation would also be signed with the representatives of the Power Supply Company in Kraljevo.

- The Power Supply Company in Kraljevo is our largest power supply company on the territory, and it is also the the location where the application of that technology is possible - he pointed out.
