Sarajevo-based company interested in Textile combine "Raška"
Sarajevo-based company "ASA Prevent" is interested in moving part of its production to Novi Pazar's Textile combine "Raška".
Nihad Imamović, the Director General of the company in Sarajevo, visited "Raška" yesterday (October 8, 2009), accompanied by the Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Rasim Ljajić, to gain insight into justification of the investment in Novi Pazar-based factory.
Imamović said that his company was producing seat covers for "Volkswagen", "Renault" and "Peugeot", and that the chain comprised several companies that were situated in Bosnia and Herzegovina. His intention is to bring the company closer to Kragujevac's "Zastava", as well as Russian market.
- The interest of a successful company in Textile combine "Raška" means a lot to us. Our aim is to pay the debts to former workers of "Raška" and other creditors from the money we get from the sale of a part of the property, and it is very significant that the company from Sarajevo would employ about 100 new workers in the first phase - said Minister Ljajić.
He added that the interest in purchase of a part of "Raška" had also been expressed by some businessmen from Turkey and Austria. Ljajić also announced the possibility of approval of favorable loans to the manufacturers of textile in Novi Pazar as stimulus for purchase or rental of part of the property of "Raška".
