Dutchmen and Russians to build tourist complexes on Zlatibor - exclusive projects for construction of 200 houses on Kobilja Glava and 150 houses of wood and stone on Semegnjevo
The time has come for the remote places called Kobilja Glava and Semegnjevo, situated in the middle of wavy meadows on Zlatibor mountain, to become exclusive tourist settlements. Judging by the works that have already commenced, the mountain will definitely take pride in the facilities that will be erected in these locations in few years. According to the people from the municipality of Čajetina, foreign investors from Russia and Netherlands are seriously preparing to have hundreds of houses for rest, golf courses and wellness centers built by investing tens of millions of euros.
The Mayor of Čajetina, Milan Stamatović, has told "Politika" that the interest of foreign investors in Zlatibor mountain has grown lately:
– Certain Russian businessman is already investing in infrastructure on Kobilja Glava. He wants to have the existing macadam road broadened in order to be able to have an exclusive settlement built in that location. The land of about 29 ha is being expropriated at the moment. He announced realization of 20m EUR worth of investments in construction of about 200 houses for rest, which, once they are finished, will be sold to his business partners from Russia and other countries. The complex will also include golf courses, wellness and spa centers, a path for walk alongside the Rzava river, swimming pools and series of other contents – said Stamatović.
Similar project will be implemented by a consortium from Netherlands, which intends to have a modern complex comprising 100-150 houses for rest built in the location of Semegnjevo. They already have the preliminary solution. The houses in this complex will be made of wood and stone, in the mountain style. Negotiations with the municipal authorities on construction of access road, water supply system and other details are in progress. The Mayor points out that it is the consortium with respectable references, and that it is very open for any form of cooperation.
– We are doing our best to issue all the necessary permits to them in as short time as possible. We are adapting our acts in order to make it possible for the investors to enter the procedure for documentation. Our spatial plan, of which adoption is close to end, is expanded to include these new requests, as well as the plans for detailed and general regulation of Zlatibor – said Milan Stamatović, pointing out that foreign companies can get all the information on possible building projects on Zlatibor mountain on the Internet, in foreign investment guides and, most usually, from their own representatives in Serbia who supply them with the most detailed information.
Special attention of potential investors is drawn by recently published study on Zlatibor's subterranean waters, great potentials for bottling regular and mineral waters, rare hyparalcale waters of the kind that exists only in few countries of the world, thermal springs, chances for development of spa and wellness tourism, etc.
By the way, foreign investments in Zlatibor are not that frequent. The only investment that has been fully realized to the date is the one by Slovenian company "Rašica point", which became the owner of the sports hall with tourist center on Zlatibor. The company's performance is very good, many sports teams from all over the world are coming here to train, and the company has also bought the land next to the hall where they intend to have a new hotel complex with spa and wellness centers built, primarily for the needs of sports teams.
