International Finance Corporation interested in additional capitalization of Komercijalna Banka
- International Finance Corporation (IFC) within the World Bank is interested in taking part in forthcoming additional capitalization of Komercijalna Bank - the Ministry of Finance of Serbia announced last night (October 7, 2009).
- IFC expressed serious interest in participation in the forthcoming additional capitalization of Komercijalna Banka together with EBRD and other international investors - it was announced yesterday after the meeting between the State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Slobodan Ilić, and the representatives of the International Finance Corporation within the World Bank.
The themes of the meeting in Istanbul were the activities related to four banks that are majority owned by the state, and Mr. Ilić talked about that with Jyrki Koskelo, the Vice President of the IFC's Division for Europe and Central Asia, and with Shahbaz Mavaddat, the Regional Director of that finance institution.
Ilić informed them on the activities of the Government of Serbia in connection with the passing of new legal acts, such as the Law on Securities and the Law on Public Property, as well as on the changes in the Law on Public Debt.
