Production of plastic components for Aston Martin soon to start in Gorazde and Srebrenica – Prevent Components authorized for product development

The production of components for the latest SUV model by Aston Martin, DBX, will soon start at the facilities of the company Prevent Components in Gorazde and Srebrenica.

The general manager of the company, Enes Hadziahmic, says that this is a great success, not just for Prevent, but for the development of this industry in B&H in general.

– Representatives of Aston Martin have visited the company's facilities in Srebrenica and Gorazde. On Friday, we were officially authorized for the development of the process and the products. We will manufacture various plastic components covered in leather. There's some sewing work involved as well, but this is mostly a lamination process, the so-called wrapping, that is, applying leather to full interior plastic components for Aston Martin vehicles. The idea of this cooperation appeared about a year ago and we have been developing these products together with Aston Martin and our employees have been going to Germany and the knowledge acquired there has been transferred to B&H – Hadziahmic clarified.

He added that the expansion of the cooperation with Aston Martin was of great importance, because, as he said, it is a brand that opens many doors. It's not a large amount of vehicles annually, but other clients will get interested as well, because they know what kind of quality Aston Martin requires.

– Representatives of Aston Martin saw a great potential for plastic processing in the Gorazde location. I'd say that, in about a year of building trust and achieving excellent quality, we might do a vertical integration, include as many plastic segments as possible, as well as all the processes currently mastered by Prevent Components – he said.

Aston Martin is only one of the brands the company cooperates with. Prevent Components has positioned itself as a reliable and quality supplier of plastic components for car interiors.

– We have definitely entered top brands, such as Volvo, Jaguar or Land Rover and we have a large project we will know more about in the future, namely, the production of arm rests for the new Peugeot 308, Citroen C4 and DS. So, these are the vehicles we will produce for in the future. This production should start in January 2021 – Hadziahmic said.
