After seeing off the sportsmen from the Universiade, complex "Belville" is getting ready to host new tenants, owners of the apartments. Namely, the first owners will move in by the end of the year, which is the deadline anticipated by the contracts. People in company "Block 67 associates" say that there are about 400 apartments of all sizes that still have no owners.

According to the words of Miloš Stanojević, the CEO of this company, ongoing formal takeover of the complex will be finished within the next few days. After that, all contractors will start working on carpentry, lacquering and levelling of the parquet floor. These works will be followed by hygienic whitewashing and refurbishment of all possible damages created during the stay of the sportsmen at the Universiade.

- The deadline for moving in is December 31st, and we will, definitely, hand over the keys to the first tenants earlier if the works are done before the deadline - says Stanojević. There are, currently, about 400 apartments of all structures and in all facilities that are still for sale. "Belville" represents the largest residential-business project in Serbia, and the interest in the apartments within the complex is on enviable level when compared to the current trend in the real estate market in Serbia, which has been the subject of media speculations lately - says Stanojević.

Numerous speculations in the public about alleged poor construction works and damages in the apartments arose after the end of the Universiade. However, the state of the apartments after the sportsmen left them was satisfying.

Crisis slowed down sale of apartments

Since July 1st, 2008, the market has been offered 1,858 apartments, 333 outlets, 2,143 garages, garage and parking places. At that time, the price per square meter of apartment amounted to 1,850 EUR plus VAT, but the prices rose in October 2008, and now one square meter costs 1,950 EUR (tax not included). The offer includes the apartments of various structure, from one-room to four-room flats. Last year the sales started great, and then the crisis came, so that the banks had to introduce stricter terms of crediting. However, interest in apartments in "Belville" is now growing.
