Construction of six stadiums in Serbia to begin no later than April – Around EUR 20 million to be invested per facility

The works on the construction of six stadiums – in Subotica, Zajecar, Loznica, Kraljevo, Vranje and Leskovac – will begin in April at the latest, as announced by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic during his visit to Leskovac and the Dubocica stadium.

– In about a year and a half, we will have an amazing stadium here – Vucic told the press and emphasized that a good stadium would mean a lot to the residents of that part of Serbia.

The project for the building permit will be completed by the end of September, which is to be followed by the technical control of the project, as announced on the website of the Presidency of Serbia.

The president pointed out that the stadiums would follow international standards, that they would be covered, that they would feature state-of-the-art floodlights and that additional features would be available within the stadium.

– All the stadiums will have a capacity of around 8,200 seats and are being designed so as to meet the requirements set by the UEFA. The time for the realization of the project is up to 20 months – the president said and added that around EUR 20 million would be invested per stadium.

Vucic also said that 11 stadiums had been renovated within the Super League.
