forest mushrooms, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as famous Serbian
raspberries, brambles, forest strawberries and blackberries.
Eleven companies that exhibited their products at this year’s trade fair in Moscow
are: "Agroprom-Com", "Lučić" Prigrevica, ZZ
"Moravac", ITN, "Repro Trade", PIK "Južni Banat",
"Strela", "Hemel", "Neoplanta", "Big
Bull" and LTS "Farmer".
With the support of USAID (US Agency for International Development) and the
Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Waterpower Engineering of Republic of
Serbia, the exhibitors that participated in the World Food Fair for the first
time are responsible for more than 50% of the contracted sales. This
opportunity has opened the door for even greater success of Serbian
agri-business during current economic crisis.
The expert team of USAID’s Agribusiness project is continuously working on improvement of competitiveness of Serbian agribusiness, coping with problems and obstacles that hinder access to international markets. The barriers that stand on the way to international markets are constantly surmounted through provision of expert assistance and resolving of the issues like inappropriate packaging or branding of products, absence of international food safety standards and certificates, and establishment of international market relations between foreign buyers and Serbian manufacturers.
