"Vizium Air" canceled contract with Zrenjanin - new open competition for land near airport "Ečka"
The CEO and the owner of Austrian company "Vizium Air", Elvir Šehić, has canceled the investment contract that was signed with the representatives of City of Zrenjanin, which anticipated construction of two production units of the service center and Flying school in the vicinity of airport "Ečka".
Having confirmed that news, the Director of the Directorate for City Development and Organization, Branislav Knežević, said that the cancellation of the contract had resulted from the fact that "the contract was made in such way that it was impossible to realize".
The details of the contract that was signed on August 26, 2008, have not been revealed to the public to the date. In addition to Šehić and Branislav Knežević, the contract was also signed by Goran Knežević and Slađana Rajzinger, the Mayor of Zrenjanin and the CEO of "Vizium Air", respectively, at the time.
As it was announced then, the Austrian company planned to invest 30m EUR during the first year and half and employ 300 workers in the first phase, as well as another 200 workers following the realization of the investment.
Knežević announced that the Directorate for City Development would announce the open competition for rental of location near airport "Ečka" again.
