Business Incubator Center opened in Sevojno
The Business Incubator Center, which is intended for entrepreneurs who are just starting their businesses, was opened yesterday (September 15, 2009) in the industrial zone in Sevojno. Total of 1m EUR was invested in that Center.
At the opening of the Center, the Minister of Economy of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, said that the Government of Serbia would keep supporting development of small and mid-sized enterprises, which represent the base for economic development of the state and employ 1.3m people.
Business incubators offer commercial space at lower prices to the business starters, as well as expert and logistic support during the first three years of operations.
Such centers, as Dinkić explained, represent favorable means for multiplication of small and mid-sized enterprises.
Business Incubator Center in Sevojno has been built for two years, and the construction was financed by the National Investment, with the assistance of the US Agency for International Development.
The surface of the center is 1,600 square meters. It comprises 20 "mini-incubator units", and seven entrepreneurs moved into the business incubator yesterday, six of which are in production business.
