Big FAP truck for 15,000 EUR on credit - subvention for building machines

On the occasion of the visit to Priboj-based FAP, the Minister of Economy, Mlađan Dinkić, announced that the Government of Serbia was preparing the new programme for subsidizing procurement of trucks and building machines.

- We will offer FAP trucks with the discount of 20% to building companies, which means that big trucks will cost about 15,000 EUR, and we are also preparing the programme for replacement of old trucks with new ones with the discount of 25,000 EUR. If someone has a truck older than 15 and wants to replace it, he can buy a FAP truck with the discount of 25,000 EUR starting October - Dinkić announced.

The idea is, as he explaines, that the truck sales ensure larger production in Priboj-based factory. It is the measure that is similar to the one that has already been introduced in the sale of "punto" and tractors in "Zastava". Dinkić announced that buyers would have the opportunity to buy trucks on credit of five to seven years with interest rate of 4.5% on annual basis.

- I believe that FAP trucks will become competitive in local market in this way. We have already had preliminary talks with the representatives of road maintenance companies that are interested in buying a serious quantity of trucks if both quality and price are satisfying - he pointed out.

He also said that the next phase was finding strategic partner for FAP, and he announced that the delegation of the largest truck manufacturer in China would be staying in Serbia between October 10 and 21.

- The idea is that we take the possibilities of joint investment into consideration, that we offer the factory, and that they provide investments and market, that is, marketing of trucks. We have also spoken to the Minister of Defense and the CEO of SDPR about the possibility of development of military trucks - said Dinkić.
