Attempt to lease BIP falls through

The commission of the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency has pronounced the attempt to lease Beogradska Industrija Piva (BIP) unsuccessful.

The reason is that no company responded to the ad. No one had paid the deposit before July 15, which was a requirement for taking part in the process.

The Board of Creditors of the brewery agreed for the bankruptcy supervisor to continue the production on its own, and, at the moment, 127 former workers are hired there, RTS writes.

A Macedonian businessman, the owner of a famous winery in his home country, gave up on leasing the brewery's capacities after two years.
