Canadians in spa resort Vranjska Banja - "Pender financial group" interested in construction of steam power plant in Serbia's south
Construction of a modern steam power plant is the reason why the representatives of "Pender financial group" were staying in spa resort Vranjska Banja, in the south of Serbia, yesterday (September 13, 2009), and why they, accompanied by Nebojša Stojanović, the Head of the Administration of the spa resort, visited several thermal springs with the aim of investing in production of electric power.
- After many contacts, projects and offered solutions, a group of experts from Canada, led by Steve Brady, visited several geothermal springs yesterday, of which water temperature is 120 degrees centigrade - Nebojša Stojanović told "Politika" and added that the guests from Canada had been accompanied by their partners from Dobanovci-based "BD Agro", which would be directly included in realization of that project.
After they visited the sites, Mr. Brady and the representatives of "BD Agro" pointed out that they were more than happy with great thermal wealth, and that they were, therefore, interested in investing in use and exploitation of geothermal waters from the springs in Vranjska Banja. Their aim is to use huge energy wealth of this region for production of electric power by building a state-of-the-arts steam power plant.
