Direct air line between Serbia and Egypt from June 2019

The official launch of the direct air line Belgrade-Cairo was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Trade and Communications of Serbia Rasim Ljajic, Egyptian Ambassador to Serbia Amr Aljowaily and Air Serbia CEO Duncan Naysmith, the Egyptian Embassy in Belgrade announced.

– These direct flights, which will be launched on the first week of June, after more than 13 years, will strengthen the positions of the two capitals as regional center of Africa and the Balkans – Aljowaily stated.

He pointed out that Cairo will be the only African capital to be included in Air Serbia’s flight schedule and that Belgrade was the only capital in the Western Balkans to offer direct flights to Cairo.

Minister Ljajic expressed hope that these direct flights will aid two-way tourism and facilitate trade and transport of goods, thereby strengthening bilateral relations between Serbia and Egypt, the Egyptian Embassy says in its press release.
