Italians to invest 1m EUR in hall for production of steel structures in Zrenjanin
Italian company "ITS Balkan" announced on Friday (August 14, 2009) that it would start construction of the hall for production of steel structures in Zrenjanin in one month, and that it would invest about 1m EUR in it.
- Our intention is to have the hall of 2,000 square meters built prior to May 2010, and to hire 20 workers in the first phase. That investment is worth nearly 1m EUR - said Stanko Maksimović, the representative of "ITS Balkan".
- Construction of the second hall and employment of additional 30 workers are also in the pipeline - said Maksimović who has signed the contract on 99-year lease of building land in industrial zone Jugoistok.
Maksimović said to the press that company "ITS Balkan", which produced steel structures, existed for 20 years, and that its production units were situated in Italy and Romania.
The CEO of the Directorate for Construction and Organization of City of Zrenjanin, Branislav Knežević, announced that industrial zone Jugoistok would have complete infrastructure by the end of 2009, and added that about 50% of the space still needed to be used.
Contracts on construction of production units in zone Jugoistok have been signed with seven investors - companies "Alpin", "Eurowind", "Jovanović", "OM inženjering", "Altis chemical", "MG Remedy" and "Future Biotec".
