Fifth sale of Jugoremedija advertised, initial price lowered to RSD 800 million

The Zrenjanin-based pharmaceutical factory Jugoremedija in bankruptcy has been put up for sale through public bidding once again, this time at the initial price of RSD 800 million. An amount of RSD 762,706,271.41 needs to be set aside for the deposit.

This is the fifth attempt at a sale of the former pharmaceutical giant, and the price has been lowered from RSD 1.2 billion to RSD 800 million.

As Radovan Savic, the bankruptcy supervisor of Jugoremedija, told eKapija, there are parties interested in buying the factory, but there have been before as well, and yet the factory has not yet been sold.

– I hope that this time it will be different, as there's a serious candidate, but we can't project anything until someone buys out the documentation. The initial price has now been lowered to RSD 800 million, which is the lower limit, as it can't go below the amount of the deposit. We really hope that something will happen this time – Savic told our portal.

Meanwhile, the situation at the factory is getting worse and worse.

– Time is passing, the factory is not working and everything is deteriorating. The longer we wait, the worse it will be, and potential purchasers need to be aware of that. The situation is now much worse than it was six months ago – Savic says.

As has been the case before, the offer includes the industrial complex – pharmaceutical factory in Zrenjanin. It also includes the accompanying equipment, a single-room apartment in Zrenjanin, the intellectual property – 24 watermarks, motor vehicles, the inventory and the stock.

Eligible tenderers are all natural and legal persons that meet the requirements. The public bidding is scheduled for June 24, at noon, in Zrenjanin.
