The vice president of the Turkish-Serbian Business Association, Fevzi Silik, says that the Turks are interested in continuing to invest, as Serbia provides the best conditions of all the countries in the region.
The Turkish factory Jeanci was one of the first ones to arrive to Serbia, back in 2010. It has gradually been expanding its capacities. They currently have 1,000 employees, and they plan to soon employ another 500. Teklas, a company from the car component industry, arrived next. It will soon open its third plant in Vladicin Han.
– They paid the 13th salary last year, and they have promised to pay 14 salaries this year, which is more than expected. The average salary is higher than RSD 35,000 and they employ 1,000 people – says the president of the Municipality of Vladicin Han, Goran Mladenovic.
Fevzi Silik, who also owns Hotel Bosfor near Aleksinac and who recently bought Nisauto in Nis, says that there are 3,000 Turkish entrepreneurs active in Serbia.
– We can expect more Turkish investments, as business people are showing an interest in the conditions in Serbia. Based on my experience and the experience of other Turkish businessmen, I can praise Serbia as the best country for investments in the region – Silik says.
